Once again Mountbatten Players go back to the 1970s this time to to present How The Other Half Loves - a typical Alan Ayckbourn dark comedy surrounding three couples and their relationships. Directed by Peter Pitcher.
'How The Other Half Loves' follows three married couples whose lives are hopelessly entwined. Frank employs Bob and William and is considering William for promotion.
Bob argues constantly with his wife, Teresa who suspects him of having an affair but is not sure who with. Mary thinks that William, her husband, is also having an affair and Frank and Fiona's marriage by contrast is polite and distant.
The plot thickens when each of the adulterous parties, plays host to William and Mary at dinner parties on successive nights, both of which end in disaster.
As relations between partners deteriorate, matters become more confused and only the truth can restore order to chaos.
